LLMs feel like a superpower and a gambling addiction at the same time. You just keep spinning the slot machine. There are enough wins to make you try again if you lose.
Combine that with the urge to always do something, and it’s easy to end up with 10+ agents running and a pile of changes that take days to review.
I’ve been feeling the mental overload for a while now. It’s the same as when there’s a deadline, and I spend the full day focused and working on 100 fixes just to get it shipped. Except this time, I get myself into that mode every day.
Waiting felt wrong as there’s always more to do, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s important to show up recharged the next day and not drain the full week of energy on Monday.
LLMs don’t need rest, we do! Don’t let the slot machine take over. Step away, take a break. The machine can wait.
